Seniors Programs

Seniors Duplicate Bridge

Are you interested in playing duplicate bridge in a friendly environment?  Join us September through June at the LWCC Thursday mornings.

Our sessions start with people gathering at 8:45 am with play beginning at 9:00am and ends by 12:00pm. You do not need to book a seat, but if you are new or need a partner, please call the number below beforehand.  The number of tables are limited by our space and we may not be able to accept new players. Although the mandates have been removed, we recommend masks are worn at all times, except when eating or drinking.

The fee is $5.00 per session, correct change is appreciated.  Please note that this is not an ACBL sanctioned club; no masters point awarded.

Pickleball

Many seniors join us to play pickleball for fun, friendship and fitness. There is both a recreational group and a more competitive group.
Visit the pickleball page for more information about Pickleball and how you can schedule a beginner’s lesson.

Knit & Pearl (and other crafts)

A non-judgmental drop-in fellowship for those yarn-minded folks.  An opportunity to discuss knitting know-how or project challenges. A group who find a safe environment to share thoughts on family, neighbors or world events.  Drop-ins, who seek to become new stewards of the craft. Newbies who come out, looking to learn from the skilled knitters.  Not limited to Knitting/Purling projects, all crafters are welcome.

See Knit & Pear page for more information

LWCC YOGA - Balance & Bones with Cathy Jaman

Yoga focused on helping seniors with mobility and strength.  Classes will start with a more active and dynamic Yang practice (Hatha) to energize and strengthen the body for the first 30 minutes.  The following 30 minutes will be Yin style which targets joints, ligaments and fascia within the body.  Poses are passive and held longer to open the body to allow more flexibility and to quiet the mind.

Visit LWCC YOGA page for more information and how to register for classes.
